OLMA Crew Club Updates

All rowers need to confirm if they are returning for the Fall Season ASAP. Anyone taking Drivers Education or having any other conflicts need to contact Coach Hughes. There is a desperate need for coxswains, anyone interested please contact Coach Hughes.

Dates to Remember:

August 25 : Deadline for Physicals on file AND visit to school nurse. You may visit the nurse on ANY day scheduled for athletic clearance – see school website under Athletics.

September 2-- September 8: NO practice

September 9, 10: 4-6pm at Beekman Beach

September 10 -- Friday: Swim Safety Test at Chaminade - starting at 7:30 promptly. Entrance is between the main building and the field/track. Parents are invited to watch from the bleachers and mingle. Rowers should wear drawer string sweatpants and a sweatshirt - most girls will wear a swimsuit underneath.

Test: -- swimming 2 lengths of the pool (any stroke) with clothing on

--treading water for 10 minutes

--putting on a life jacket while in the water.

September 13: 4-6pm at school --ALL Paperwork/Waivers Due
